This sign is an updated version of an old sign that was originally erected on this post  This sign orignally read "Worcester via 110 14 [Miles] Worcester via 70 13 [Miles]." This new version points to West Boylston along 110 instead of Worcester.

This was the old Northern terminus of Mass 70 before it was extended North through Lancaster to Mass 2. When 70 was lengthened, it was rerouted off High street and along Main Street with Mass 62
